The Connamara Tradeable Asset Document Database (TADD) is a document based approach to managing securities and options.
Documents allow for more flexibility than a traditional relational model. If information is available about an instrument, it can simply go into the document.
Connamara manages all of the importing and updating necessary to stay current as new instruments are introduced. Your database will simply synchronize to the master at Connamara, eliminating the headache of tracking and updating products.
The Connamara Tradeable Asset Document Database (TADD) also features a highly scalable model. While allowing Connamara to track the instrument data, you can have local databases to increase performance and allow for easy access inside of private networks.
The Connamara Tradeable Asset Document Database (TADD) uses a RESTful JSON API, which are technologies supported by all popular programming languages including Java, C++, C#, and Python, and we also offer C++ and C# libraries.
The current API queries based on Root Symbol, Instrument Type, Instrument Category and Root Symbol + Instrument Category. Additional Queries are easy to add and can be done on your local database.
The Connamara Tradeable Asset Document Database (TADD) is built on the Apache Software Foundation's CouchDB.
CouchDB is built on the Erlang OTP platform, a functional, concurrent programming language and development platform. Erlang was developed for real-time telecom applications with an extreme emphasis on reliability and availability.
